Chicken, oh my!

So we thought baked chicken was a safe bet for dinner last night- doesn't it look yummy?! We ate the plate of fried rice and well, I won't tell what happened to the chicken. We were not brave enough to give it a try.

Leaving for Guangzhou tomorrow

We leave Nanchang tomorrow and as much as we are ready to get to Guangzhou, we are sad that this is our last night in Reed's province. Reed was born in Xinyu city, Jiangxi, which is about a two and a half hour drive from here. Our baby boy is just as precious as ever and today revealed just how hard this is going to be for him. He was taking his nap and started crying and screaming uncontrollably. This lasted for an hour before he finally calmed down. It breaks my heart that he is hurting and I hope he is able to trust us enough to grieve and heal the pain.

Thank you all for the emails and comments, we love them and they make us feel close to home :)
I have lots of videos but I'm having trouble getting them to post. Today we went to People's Park and shopping in the porcelin district. I bought a beautiful tea cup with a little boy hand painted on it. The man in the store was so nice, he gave us a set of porcelin chop sticks for Reed to have. They said that little boys make happy families, I told him VERY happy families!

Today has been great! We went to the Teng Wang Pavilion and it is so beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice. Enjoy;

I still don't know how to get my posting time correct. It's 3pm on March 4th. We're getting ready to go out back and walk the streets since we've caught a break in the rain!

our sweet boy is sad today

I believe the grieving process has started and it breaks my heart. Reed slept 10 hours last night and he was hard to wake up this morning. He has been fussy all day and he does not seem like the same happy boy as he has been. He clings on me and cries when I put him down.

Please pray for our sweet boy's comfort and grieving; we could see that his nannies loved him very much and I know it must be hard for him.

More from gotcha day

It's 4:45 am and Reed is still sleeping!! He was so tired last night, he fell asleep around 9:00 and is still sound asleep. Oh we love this boy!!! We are so blessed and so thankful for what the Lord has done.
